Casson Technologies Inc. (“Casson Tech,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website cassontech.com and provides AI-powered answering, messaging, and automation services to small businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have. By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Contact information you submit through forms, email, phone, or SMS — including name, business name, email address, mobile phone number, and the contents of your message.
- Account & billing information when you purchase a subscription or one-time service, including billing address and payment details (processed by Stripe — we do not store full card numbers).
- Service usage data generated when our AI agents handle calls, texts, or chats on your behalf — call metadata, transcripts, recordings, and conversation logs.
- Website analytics such as pages visited, referring URL, device type, browser, approximate location, and IP address, collected via cookies and analytics providers (e.g., PostHog, Vercel Analytics).
- SMS opt-in records — when you provide your mobile number and consent to receive text messages, we record the date, time, source (e.g., web form, verbal consent), and the consent language presented to you.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to:
- Provide, operate, and improve our services.
- Respond to inquiries, schedule consultations, and deliver ordered services (including AI Audits and bundled answering plans).
- Send transactional messages — appointment confirmations, service updates, billing notices, account alerts, and replies to your inquiries.
- Send marketing communications (only with your consent) about new features, offers, and educational content. You can opt out at any time.
- Process payments and prevent fraud.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
3. SMS & Mobile Information — A2P 10DLC Disclosure
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of personal information described in this Privacy Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent records are used only to:
- Send the messages you opted in to receive (appointment reminders, service notifications, support replies, and — only if you separately consented — marketing messages).
- Maintain proof of consent as required by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), CTIA guidelines, and the carriers’ A2P 10DLC program.
- Share with our messaging service providers (e.g., Twilio, GoHighLevel) strictly as subprocessors that deliver messages on our behalf — never for their own marketing.
Message frequency varies based on your interactions with us. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP to any text from us. Reply HELP for assistance, or email support@cassontech.com. See our Terms & Conditions for full SMS terms.
4. When We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers / subprocessors who help us operate the business — including Stripe (payments), Supabase (database hosting), Vercel (web hosting), GoHighLevel (CRM/messaging), Twilio (telephony/SMS), PostHog (analytics), and email delivery providers. They are contractually bound to use the data only to provide services to us.
- Legal compliance — when required by law, court order, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Casson Tech, our customers, or the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to affected users.
Again: mobile phone numbers and SMS consent data are never shared, sold, or rented to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
5. Cookies & Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember preferences, and measure traffic. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies; doing so may break parts of the site. We use PostHog and Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate usage — not to build advertising profiles.
6. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. SMS opt-in records are retained for the life of your account and for a reasonable period afterward to document consent. Call recordings and transcripts are retained per the agreement with the customer whose business made or received the call.
7. Your Rights & Choices
- Access, correction, deletion — email support@cassontech.com to request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or request deletion (subject to legal retention requirements).
- Marketing emails — click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
- SMS — reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time.
- California, Virginia, Colorado, and other state privacy rights— residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws may request access, deletion, correction, and opt-out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards — TLS in transit, encrypted storage at rest with our hosting providers, scoped access controls, and PCI-compliant payment processing through Stripe. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by law.
9. Children
Our services are intended for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International Users
Casson Technologies Inc. is based in the United States. By using our services, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the U.S.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced on the website or by email.
